Taking pictures with cosmos (this type of flower) is traditional at this time of year.

Garden in the middle of the park.

A playground of epic proportions.

This type of slide is very common in Japan. The bottom of it is made of rollers. Rotational inertia of the rollers prevents people from going too fast, even on a very long slide.

Emily on the slide.

This shows the scale of the hill.

Here's a map of the whole park.

This is probably the biggest slide i've ever ridden. Shown here is a small part of it; it winds down a rather large hill. Yuri and i went down and then Noriko and Emily went.

Yuri did a good job riding this rope.

We ran into some friends. One of them took Emily down a crazy steep slide. There's no way this slide could exist in the lawsuit-happy USA; it was probably at an angle between 60 and 70°. It was short though; almost the entire thing is pictured here.

Yuri did really well on these; she could get to about the sixth one.

These logs all move. Kids can walk across them. Emily could do them, slowly.
